BIOTECHNOLOGY DRAMA SKIT

Advanced Preparation

There are several possible drama skits that could be performed including scenes from Jurassic Park and Frankenstein along with other related literary material. You should discuss the following information with the appropriate instructors:

* English - Possible skit formats.

* Art / Woodworking - Set design construction.

* Home Economics - Costume design.

* Computers - Word processing information - skit scripts.

* Graphic Arts/Photography - Printing materials.

Introduction

Students will be assigned to participate in a skit involving a biotechnology theme.

Student participation may include: actors, set crew, writers, and other support personnel.

Student Objectives

* Students will learn the various job skills and responsibilities of drama personnel.

* Students will develop an appreciation of live presentations involving biotechnology themes.

Class Time Needed

A minimum of 10 class periods are needed for the students to complete this activity.

Procedure

1. Students select type of skit assignment.

2. Students participate in assigned activity.

3. Students performance is evaluated.
