Advanced Preparation

Among the possible musical score selections in the area of biotechnology are the scores from Jurassic Park and Frankenstein. You should investigate additional selections

with a scientific theme. Your students should assist you in your selection.

Introduction

Students will be assigned to perform a musical score based upon the selection chosen by the instructor and students. Students may be involved with either individual or group performances.

Student Objectives

* Students will develop the skill of playing a musical instrument.

* Students will participate in a solo or group performance.

* Students will acquire an appreciation of science related music.

Class Time Needed

A Minimum of 10 class periods are needed for the students to complete this

activity.

Procedure

1. Students select choice of musical score.

2. Students participate in assigned music performance.

3. Students performance is evaluated.
