SCIENCE/ELECTRONICS TERMS
Advanced Preparation
You will need to consult with the science teachers at your site in order to develop a list of terms which are used in the biotechnology laboratory experiments and in a typical electronics program.
Introduction
Students will be assigned to write the definitions of the terms listed below. These terms are used interchangeably in the biotechnology laboratory experiments and electronics programs.
Voltage Direct Current (DC)
Volt Alternating Current (AC)
Current Power Supply
Ampere (Amps) Cathode
Resistance Anode
Ohm Conductor
Ion Insulator
Electron
Student Objectives
* Students will learn the meaning of terms used in science and electronics
programs.
* Students will develop an understanding of integrated curriculums.
Class Time Needed
Two class days are needed for the students to complete this activity.
Procedure
1. Students write definitions for the words listed above. They may obtain the definitions from their electronics textbook.
2. Students submit definitions for evaluation.
