JURASSIC PARK ITERATIONS 1
Introduction
An iteration is a repetition of a pattern. Michael Crichton uses a fractal (describes real objects in the natural world) pattern to illustrate seven iterations as the reader progresses through the novel. At the bottom of each iteration is a quote from the fictional character, Ian Malcolm, the novel's mathematician.
Directions
* Find the seven iterations in the novel.
* Copy Ian Malcolm's seven mathematical statements below.
* Analyze them in their relationship to each other and to an over all concept.

In your own words, write a paragraph summarizing what you think Ian Malcolm was trying to say in his seven iteration statements. (Use the back of this paper.)
You will be expected to keep a JOURNAL or a READING LOG of the seven iterations.
Each iteration entry should include:
* the Ian Malcolm quote
* a summary of the major events in the chapters in the section
* a conclusion on your part of how these events relate to the iteration
