How to Configure Helper Applications for Macintosh

Under Options/General Preferences/Helpers, what you will see is a box with the following headings: Description, Handled By.

Click New, enter the Description, MIME Type and Suffixes. Then choose an action for when Netscape Navigator encounters a link matching the suffix. To configure Netscape Navigator to launch MS Word when downloading a BEP document click Application, Browse--then locate your MS Word application on your hard drive, select File Type--BEP documents were created in Word Version 6 (W6BN). Click OK to finish configuring the helper applications.
