How to Configure Helper Applications for Windows

Under Options/General Preferences/Helpers, what you will see is a box with the following headings: File Format (mimetype/subtype), Action, and Extensions.

Click Create New Type and enter the Mime Type and Mime SubType, click OK.

Enter the extensions doc and wrd in the File Extensions box. Then choose an action for when Netscape Navigator encounters a link matching these extensions. To lauch MS Word click Launch the Application.

Click Browse and select the appropriate viewer then click Open.

Click OK to finish configuring the helper applications.
