Science Fair 101 for students who will participate in the Tri-Valley Science and Engineering Fair
Science Fair 101is a FREE 2-day hands-on program to prepare students fora qualityMiddle and High School science fair experience. Learn how to come up witha projectidea, form testable questions, hypotheses and procedures, manage data & data analysis, create a quality written report & poster presentation as well as how to interact with the actual judges.
Science Fair 101 is taught by experienced, winning high school science fair instructors from the Tri Valley with help from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory scientists.

Both days start at 10:00am and end at 3:30pm.
What You Will Learn:
You will need to choose one of the following two topic areas:
Topic A: Microbiology
Learn how to safely and successfully do experiments using microbes (bacteria and fungi).Topic B: Environmental Science
Learn how to safely and successfully do environmental testing and work with invertebrate animalsin genetics and environmental experiments (i.e. Drosophila, C-elegans worms...).
