The 3D Print & Design Teacher Research Academy is designed for teachers looking to incorporate modeling, design, and three-dimensional printing into their curriculum or clubs. Participants will learn how to create and print everyday objects from their own computational models. A $25.00 fee is required for each workshop registration. The registration fee provides hospitality for workshop participants.

Level-I provides an overview of the field advanced manufacturing with instruction on basic 3D printing techniques. These techniques include:

  • model design
  • use of TinkerCAD software
  • computational modeling
  • hands-on printing

Level-II provides continued instruction in 2D and 3D printing techniques. These techniques include more advanced computational modeling instruction and hands-on printing. Some work will be performed in collaborative small groups focused on a single design project.
